BLUES and CIRCALGAE hybrid joint event in October

We are pleased to invite stakeholders from across the blue bioeconomy community to a joint dissemination workshop organised by BLUES and CIRCALGAE on 16 October at the Norwegian Maritime Competence Center (NMK) in Ålesund and online.

The event, hosted by Møreforsking, will showcase results and developments from both projects while creating opportunities for researchers, industry representatives, innovators and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge and discuss emerging trends in marine biotechnology. By bringing together expertise from across Europe, the workshop will highlight how marine biomass and bioactive compounds can contribute to more sustainable and innovative solutions for a range of applications.

Throughout the day, participants will hear about advances in areas including animal-free testing methods, marine-derived bioactive compounds, novel biomaterials, and the development of innovative cell culture models inspired by marine organisms. The programme will also feature contributions from local innovation actors and companies, helping connect research results with real-world applications and market opportunities.

The workshop will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join either in person in Ålesund or remotely online.
